Thailand is very well known for it’s spicy food, and I certainly ran into a few instances where I couldn’t handle it and ended up gulping Thai Milk Tea to get rid of the burn. I’ve always loved Thai food, but after leaving Bangkok it’s gone to an all new high.
Unlike other countries I’ve visited, you would typically look up whats the best restaurant to try to get a taste for the local flare. In Bangkok, you hit the streets! You can find all of their local food choices by going to the street vendors.
There are two roads in particular which you can go to that will have all the local delicacies for an affordable rate. Both roads are connected and offer a different flare depending on if you want a party scene or something more chill.
- Khao San Rd – Street packed full of vendors and crowds of people. Best for shopping for clothes, souvenirs, and any other items to buy.
- Soi Ram Butri – Quiet street with less people full of restaurants and bars.
Here are my favorite 10 things to try when you visit Bangkok ranging from soups, drinks, meals, snacks, and of course something crazy to try 🙂 Enjoy!
